SEKI Controls’ CK-01S Self-Holding thermal protector is constructed with a snap-acting bimetal disc that serves as the actuating element. As the temperature reaches a predetermined calibration point, the disc snaps to reverse its curvature, producing the crisp, positive switching action inherent to thermal protectors. This feature assures precesion temperature accuracy and long life reliability in any position.

-How it works-

When the protector contacts are open, the heater is in series with the load. The heater then maintains the temperature sensitive bimetal of the protector in an open state unless the power is removed.
